Liverpool City Council – Design of eleven (11) GPTs

In 2020 Optimal Stormwater won the tender to design eleven Gross Pollutant Traps (GPTs) at various priority locations in Liverpool LGA. The Scope of Work involves site selection, investigation into a range of different GPTs to choose the most appropriate devices, catchment analysis, modelling (DRAINS and MUSIC), detailed design, preparation of construction specifications, consultation with authorities and cost/benefit analysis. Provisional work includes: land survey, underground service scanning and geotechnical investigation (preparation of a bore-log and determination of Waste Classification). Preparation of the first concept designs got underway in March 2020 with the project scheduled for completion in September 2020.
