GPT Design, Supply and Installation for Newcastle City Council at Merewether

Optimal Stormwater was selected to do the investigation and design of a GPT to go into the carpark behind Newcastle Council’s most famous beach. A P2018 CDS unit was selected for a number of reasons, and then detailed design and specification done.

Optimal Stormwater then won the installation contract for the device. And Hunter Water who would actually end up owning the device then engaged Optimal Stormwater to procure the CDS unit as well.

The installation was far from smooth with some of the wettest weather on record smashing Newcastle during the construction. Optimal Stormwater was still able however, to complete the project on budget and ahead of time!

The carpark opened on schedule and all Stakeholders were very happy.
