2016 Newcastle Council GPT Audit

Newcastle Council are leaders in integrated stormwater management and the benefits of a GPT audit where obvious to Council when Optimal explained the outcomes.  Council operate over many novated to them from developers.  One of the key findings is that GPTs brought online during the construction phase do a great job of erosion and sediment control of runoff but the GPTs are often completely full and need comprehensive “initial cleaning” ie behind the screens prior to handover.

1/3 of GPTs where in either perfect or good working condition with the remainder recommended for rectification, upgrade or decommissioning.
