Murray delivering the training of the Guidelines for the Maintenance of Stormwater Treatment Measures to ACT Government

Murray delivered follow-up training in the National Guidelines for the Maintenance of Stormwater Treatment Measures (2022) to the ACT Government, building on previous sessions to further improve stormwater performance in the Territory. Across two days, engineers, asset managers, and operations staff from the ACT Government and their maintenance contractor, Flexible, spent the first day in the classroom covering theory, followed by a second day in the field applying real hands-on maintenance across four GPTs in the field.

The sessions reinforced the importance of one-page-cleaning-specifications and highlighted common challenges such as damaged screens, installation issues, and access constraints. Strong engagement from all participants reflects the ACT Government’s ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and undertaking stormwater maintenance with industry best practice.
